Jeremy:

Thanks for a nice presentation. I was looking to get started on "Mock Testing" for a while but never got to it.

I am very much interested in DSLs and your presentation gives me a reason to look more into Boo.

I was dissapointed a bit when you announced that the presentation is going to be more of "Why" than "How". I was expecting more of "How" part of it. Nevertheless it was a good start for me.

Thanks

Hi Sai,

Thank you so much for the kind comment, I'm glad that you enjoyed the presentation and I'm really glad that I may have helped to spur your interest in Boo.

Also, thank you for the feedback regarding the "Why" versus the "How". That's definitely helpful to me and I'll be sure to add a little more practicality into this presentation the next time I do it. I suppose we were a little heavy on theory this time...

I've found a few tutorials on the web which may help you to get started. The first one (http://www.codeproject.com/KB/dotnet/Rhino_Mocks_Version_20.aspx) is pretty much the standard and is written by author of the framework, himself. This one is getting a little dated (it's one major version back) but since it really only dives into the fundamentals it should still be helpful. The second one (http://aspalliance.com/1400_Beginning_to_Mock_with_Rhino_Mocks_and_MbUnit__Part_1.all) is one which I hadn't seen before but is a little newer and, at first glance, seems to be a nice introduction as well. Also, I highly recommend checking out the RhinoMocks mailing list (http://groups.google.com/group/RhinoMocks), it's filled with a ton of smart, approachable people who were invaluable to me when I first started learning mocks.

Good luck!
